Safeguarding Procedures and Protocols for the prevention of Covid-19

We have followed our professional association guidance to ensure the clinic and treatments are as ‘Covid-19 secure’ as possible.  This includes:

  • Having a sanitiser station upon entering the building and within our treatment room
  • Staggering appointment times to allow social distancing, cleaning and PPE changes. Treatments are also 5 minutes shorter so as to enable us to run to time.
  • We ask all patients to arrive at their appointment time so as to avoid waiting in reception.
  • The clinic room will be cleaned with virucidal disinfectant between appointments. The building including toilet facilities will be regularly cleaned by a private company under the responsibility of Bidwells.
  • We have eliminated all unnecessary linens and replaced our pillows with washable ones.
  • Your osteopath will wear disposable PPE in line with the guidance from the Institute of Osteopathy. This will include an apron, face mask, gloves and possibly a face shield where necessary.
  • We ask that you keep 2m distance from people in communal areas.
  • We ask you to follow a new one-way system through our building which includes exiting through a different door to the one you entered through.
  • We encourage a credit/debit card payment or same day online payment by BACS transfer.
  • We request every patient wears a face mask for their visit or they can purchase one upon arrival.
